Duxelles is a flavorful French mushroom condiment that is traditionally made by slowly cooking finely chopped mushrooms, shallots or onions, herbs, and black pepper in butter until it reaches a paste like consistency.
Beef Wellington is a baked steak dish of English origin, made out of filet steak, or beef brisket in our case, and duxelles and wrapped in pastry like our butter croissants! A delicious combination of flavors!
Freezes well so stock up! Rewarm at 350 degrees in the oven or toaster oven or for a few minutes in the air fryer, ideally never use the microwave for gluten free food.
